It wasn´t until 1929 that films gained some sound, and colour in films goes way back earlier then that also, but it wasn´t until the Great Depression that talkies became a norm, dragging a lot of musicians into unemployment, musicians whose job was to sit and play the piano thru the film. But even then even at the start we fell in love with the big screen, where images came to life, and fantasy gained reality.
But something changed in 1929, when The Jazz Singer was released and films with sound became not only a trend but an extremely popular one, that would never really end, in the present we love our films loud, we love musicals, and reward the most amazing soundtracks.
And all of this just to talk about Cinema, that starts next Saturday, and for my first blog post i decided to go back in time, and bring you a little of that era in the history of Cinema, which was only possible with Vosltead gorgeous and detailed 20´s clothing and footwear that will be available for sale next Saturday in the Romance area of Cinema, and it is indeed romantic, the flowy but fitted dresses, with the incredibly detailed lace, bringing back a period of time where the world of Cinema changed
I´m also wearing some of my usual favourites, as you know by now this Soft model by Elikatira is one of my all time favourite hairs, and i hardly ever change my eyes from Izzie´s, and I am a huge fan of Maxi Gossamer´s jewelry, and they will also be present at the event, and i will certainly blog them latter.
In the meanwhile let´s enjoy all the event previews while we wait for the Theater to open, and for us to go shopping with popcorns and fizzy drinks in hand, see you all again soon for more previews, and don´t forget to check the even Flickr group here, for more previews.
